The Tara Dakides III is stiffer than the Vans Women's Encore boot, due in part to a built-in internal support harness. An updated thermal Trifit liner features an exterior support cage and backstay and breathable wicking mesh. TPR footbeds provide antimicrobial protection, integrated arch support, impact-relief pads, and an overmolded support cage. Vans' Flight Core Snowaffle Air Outsole increases sensitivity and provides better sole-edge traction. Forefoot gel cassettes provide lightweight cushioning and zone-specific shock absorption. Dual heel gel-pads enhance stability and disperse impact, while a TPU arch-stability platform and full-wrap heel cradle provide excellent support and response. The vintage-style upper is equipped with a Recco reflector that could help rescuers locate you in event of an avalanche.
