SO TOASTY!!!
Lightness, flattering fit, and so so warm with the 900 fill. The same warm puffiness as big puffy coats, but warmer, and very unbulky.

This jacket rocks! It's the perfect weight for almost anything. When it's a bit warmer, it doesn't overheat you and when it's a bit colder, it keeps you warm. It goes with everything - ski pants or a skirt. I love the fit, it flatters the figure. The lining is soft on your chin if you zip it up all the way and fits like a gem. I recommend it for everyone.


Not Bulky and Super Warm
The North Face Flash jacket is as warm as puffy down jackets, without all the bulk. It has a trim fit and is really lightweight so it works well as an insulation layer as well as by itself. The fabric is shimmery, giving it a unique look that's a little fancier than your average down jacket.

Every time I wear this jacket I get lots of compliments however I was really disappointed on how light the flash jacket was, it was advertised as a 900 down fill but was really light and not as warm as the 600 down fill of the Tamba-Kosi which is much heavier and warmer. A little high priced for such a light jacket!


not all that glitters is gold...
the flash jacket is of great design, aesthetic appeal and the perfect finishing touch for skiers and outdoor enthusiasts. that's why I'm sad to say that although i love this jacket, it seems that the outer material is not durable enough to contain the down. Unlike other The North Faces where it is normal for at least a few feathers to poke through now and again at the seams, the feathers in the flash simply protrude from anywhere. and when this happens, pulling a seemingly tiny feather results in huge holes/leaks. yikes. yet the thought of returning it during this blizzard seems a bit frightening. perhaps by spring, it'll make the perfect windbreaker.
