Great outdoor shoes.
I've always hiked in tennis shoes because I didn't want to be weighed down by boots. However, I needed something waterproof and with more protection for light backpacking. These shoes have been perfect for my needs. Very light, waterproof, good protection, and high quality. I'm surprised at how much I like hiking in them.


Sold on the Adrenaline XCR
I recently purchased the Adrenaline Gore-Tex XCR Mid Hiking Shoe and I am well pleased with the comfort(far surpasses Nike). I'm not crazy about the style but the comfort more than makes up for it. This was my first purchase from Backcountry and I plan to make future buys as well, good service. Thanks for supplying me a quality shoe!

Absolutely the best shoe purchase I've made in years. They may just be the most comfortable, functional, attractive shoe on the market. No compromises here.


Design flaw?
I ordered a pair of these boots, but when I tried the on, the top metal lacing loop dug into the skin of my ankle. I returned this pair and asked for an exchange. The exchanged pair were even worse. I don't know how anyone could wear these boots because the top metal lacing loop is not covered by any padding and are painful when laced up. I hope North Face gets the message and corrects this design flaw.


Very comfortable
I took these shoes to the Canadian Rockies and they were very comfortable on the day hikes and mountain biking. My feet didn't hurt at the end of the day as with some shoes. Plenty of toe room. Definitely a recommendation.
