The North Face Nuptse Jacket - Men's
Brand : The North FaceItem : TNF0136
Good lookin' and warm, warm, warm, the down Nuptse is one of The North Face's best-selling jackets. With 700-fill down, it's super toasty, lightweight, and highly compressible. If you're prone to cold, you'll LOVE this jacket. Wear the Nuptse alone for use in cold, dry conditions or under a weatherproof shell for complete snow and rain protection. Double-layer taffeta reinforces the shoulders for added durability. Sewn-through construction keeps the down from shifting, reducing cold spots and ensuring warmth. Two covered zippered pockets warm frosty fingers and hold your things. Internal zippered horizontal pocket is easily accessible for convenient storage. A hood conveniently stows in the collar when you're not using it. A single-hand elastic drawcord at the hem seals out the elements. *Not Available for Shipment to Canada.

The North Face Nuptse Jacket - Men's
Nuptse Jacket in Yellowstone
I spent 4 days this week in Yellowstone Park observing the wildlife...particularly the wolves. It wasn't terribly cold, only down to about zero F., so didn't get to make a real test, but I could tell that the jacket was good for at least 20 to 25 degrees less. It is very comfortable as well as good looking. One thing I'm always concerned about is zippers. The Nuptse has a large easy to use one that is not likely to catch material as it's used. I'd give the jacket at least an "A", and would judge BackcountryStore.com's service the same. The Denali gloves are also very nice. They served very well at the temps we encountered and probably would be good down to maybe 15 below or so.
Nuptse Jacket
This is a wonderful jacket, living in New England it is the perfect thing to keep warm on those record breaking lows we have been having this winter. I can go out wearing that jacket and just a t-shirt underneath and still be warm. Not only that but if you are going somewhere and need to stow your jacket it conveniently fits into the stow pouch alowing you to hide the jacket in your place of choice.
Great Price, Fast Service
I found BackcountyStore to be the least expensive site for me to buy North Face gear. The service was fabulously quick as well. The jacket is super warm inside and conveniently stuffs into its tiny pocket. The only downside is that it is not waterproof.
Great product. Great service. Great price.
My Nuptse Jacket has exceeded my expectations. It has kept me comfortably warm in temperatures ranging from zero to forty-five degrees Fahrenheit. It is not prohibitively bulky and allows me to drive, hike, and etc. with minimal effects on range of motion.
Nuptse Rocks!
I've used my Nuptse Jacket for walking the dog in -20F weather in Minnesota and for backpacking above 6000 feet. I've never been disappointed with this coat in the cold weather. If you think it's going to rain on your trip, however there are better jackets to take with you. A driving rain will eventually get through the shell and wet the down. If it’s gonna be cold however, I'll take my Nuptse. A compression sack works great to get the coat down to a reasonable size so it will fit in your pack.
