excellent travel bag
I used the Sojourn 28 for a trip this summer to the UK. It was a 12 day trip (including attendance at an academic conference and some fun travel). I was able to fit all the essential clothing I needed (no winter clothes though) and the bag weighed total 45 lbs loaded (good for meeting current weight limits for checked luggage). The bag rolls well and compression straps on inside and out were easy to use. It has good handles on outside and the conversion to backpack features are great. I recommended this bag to another friend who needs to do some international travel.


Sojourner
I have to say that the Osprey Soujourn 28 is a great base bag for global trekkers. I am not sure that I would use it exclusively as a backpack although the straps give it more options in terms of lugging the bag around. The only complaint I have is that one of the zipper pulls on the main compartment popped off, an easy fix by either parachute cord or something similar.


Great 30 something luggage for the active traveler
Great backpack/rolling duffel! I love it! You can cram plenty of stuff in there for 2 weeks (or several months with laundry service) of travel and it's very lightweight. My only complaint is that in a pinch when you want to switch rolling duffel to backpack, there is a learning curve and it takes up to 5 minutes.

This bag can hold an amazing amount of stuff given its expansive, "straight-jacket" type of closure. Its construction is of the highest quality, given the ballistic nylon and excellent roller system. Its backpacking features are more than one generally finds in a rolling duffel. Love this bag!
