Ortovox Professional Aluminum Avalanche Shovel
FKNA Best Shovel !!
This is the best shovel I have ever had. Plastic is too flimsy to chop hard debris. This thing chops like a mo-fo. chop, chop, chop, scoop - that's what you have to do in hard set-up avy debris. Light, small, strong. What more could you want? Some metal shovels are too thin in the blade or at the wrong angle to chop well. This one is perfect. If you want a bigger shovel, they make one more model that's larger, but it is much heavier. Some steel/alloy shovels are not reinforced enough, and flex when chopping. Not this one. You will not be dissappointed.
