The Nike Triax Speed 100 Regular watch is the distance timepiece and star of the Bill Bowerman series. If you have to ask who Bowerman is, it's time you did some homework. The National Distance Running Hall of Famer was the man responsible for Nike, as well as the University of Oregon's explosion as one of the best running schools in the country, which gave Eugene its distance running claim to fame. The Triax Speed collection is a tribute to Bowerman, as the “best running watches” Nike's ever made. This model is designed for true distance runners and athletes in training. A target time feature lets you compare your ideal and actual times. The Speed 100's 100-lap chronograph tracks your lap times, recalls your times, and gives you your best and average lap times. The five-segment interval timer lets you record through full interval workouts. The unique S-shape fits wrists ergonomically, and makes the Speed easy to read while kicking to the finish. The Speed is water resistant to 100m, so it'll take the toughest Eugene downpour in stride. The Regular features a smaller face size than the Super.

Best running watch out there
This is a good looking and full featured watch (I got the black and grey regular size) Positives: off axis screen makes viewing easier, easy access buttons, black and grey are great colours, room for multiple saved splits for later comparison, saved splits give you average and best lap times, two alarms, regular size is a good size for a running watch. Negatives: more expensive than other simpler models, but you don't get these features. The super size may be too big for a lot of people and would be bulky while running, so get this one (regular).


Give me a Timex Ironman
This watch drives me crazy. The buttons are too small, and the watch will rarely stay in the watch mode. It seems that every time I check the time it is in a different mode, forcing me to cycle through all the modes to get to time. The stop watch mode on my Ironman was so much easier to use. The stop/start/split buttons were larger and better placed.
