Mountain Hardwear Downtown Jacket - Men's
Brand : Mountain HardwearItem : MHW0524
With 650 fill down insulation, the Mountain Hardwear Men's Downtown Jacket keeps you nice and warm on those eerie late night snowshoe hikes. The wind's howling and all you can see is a few feet of powdery trail in the glow of your headlamp. Nestle into the Downtown Jacket's micro chamois-lined chin, draw the hem cords, and head for the frosty summit. Or cram it into its stuff sack and throw it your winter pack for a killer mid-layer on the coldest of nights. A sleek design layers easily under your hard shell and prevents you from looking like a marshmallow man. Mountain Hardwear's high loft PimpChimp fleece lining gives this coat an extra dose of warmth you can't get from most down jackets. Uniquely styled seams give the Downtown Jacket a look you won't see on every ski bum around town.

Mountain Hardwear Downtown Jacket - Men's
Very comfortable and good looking jacket
This is a great jacket for going downtown (aaahhh--name) or anywhere that it's cold and bright. It is very warm and has a much more fitted fit than the SubZero Jacket does. It also is a bit longer meaning that it covers most sweaters that hang down just below your waist. It also looks very nice and adds a bit more style than most down jackets. I wear this a lot with only a short sleeve shirt or one layer on in 10 degree temperature at night with very little activity (walking around outside, light hikes) and it is still incredibly warm. Does a good job taking care of light moisture (not as good as the Conduit SL on the SubZero SL but still better than the regular SubZero).
Mountain Hardwear Downtown
An awesome jacket. Very comfortable, especially the fleece lining and the handwarmer pockets.
Awesome Jacket
I bought this coat for my husband for Christmas. He Loves it! We liked it because of the sharp cut of the coat - less bulky and marshmallow like. It looks awesome on and is so warm. Love Mountain Hardwear anyway...
Maintain body temp.
My downtown jacket fits my needs very well. It is very lightweight, weighing just over a pound but yet in the coldest weather you always are warm. Cold winds are no longer a problem.
Great warmth and fit.
Definitely a warm jacket with a slimmer fit than most other downs. Putting it on in below freezing temps is like cranking up the heater in the cab. The fit makes it able to even be worn under a shell (I use Mountain Hardwear's Interconnect, both mediums). I only wish that different colors were made for this jacket. I'm not really fond of the blue or orange so I went with the black. I choose not to wear it to certain parts of downtown because it unfortunately can look a bit gang-land-ish, but maybe I'm just overly cautious.
