Marmot Ultimate Ski Glove

Brand : Marmot
Item : MAR0744

Marmot's Ultimate Ski Glove is waterproof, warm, and durable. It's a bold statement to label any product as the "ultimate", but Marmot is on to something. Two words define the Ultimate: warm and durable. The shell is made with Cordura reinforced with durable, supple, water-resistant Pittards goatskin. The Ultimate Ski Glove's exceptional PrimaLoft insulation provides excellent warmth without undue bulk. A Gore-Tex XCR insert ensures water won't penetrate, while a DriClime lining combats moisture from the inside by wicking perspiration away from sweaty palms.

Marmot Ultimate Ski Glove

4 and a half out of 5 stars.
These gloves do an admirable job keeping me warm and dry. The leather has been durable for the past two years. I wish they were doubled on the palms (like the Marmot Work Gloves or the Black Diamond Guide Gloves); however, they are Pittards goat skin and still look almost new. The fit can be dialed in with the wrist adjustment and the gauntlet cinch works smoothly. They are a bit slimmer than my BD Guides, which might make them a touch more dexterous, but that's because they have half as much Primaloft in them (5 oz. vs. 10 oz.); thus, the BD's keep me warmer. That said, they're still great gloves. I use them aggressively and know that they'll be with me for many more seasons to come.

6 years on them...
That's the longest I've ever owned a pair of gloves! They've packed out in the lining a little bit, but otherwise still look new. A warm glove, good dexterity and the gauntlets fit nicely over my coat. I actually use the leashes and wouldn't buy a glove without them now.

Warm Glove
Very warm, no liner required!

Good Gloves
I bought these gloves to go Heli Skiing at Mike Wiegeles. When they arrived, i thought they would be too big to work with. I usually wear Black Diamond work gloves. I wore the Marmot Gloves every day skiing in the rain, deep powder, and crust. The gloves were great. The leashes built into the gloves helped strapping skis together quickly with bare hands and retrieving the gloves quickly. Not so good for taking a leak though. Need to keep gloves out of the way.

Still the best
This is my second pair of these gloves. The first lasted for about 5 years, and I expect the same from this pair. The glove is well built, and has plenty of insulation for cold days. the GoreTex XCR performs great. My hands never sweat. It is a bit warm for spring skiing in CA, but that's ok. I didn't buy it for that. I'm extremely happy with it.
