Marmot Power Stretch Top - Women's



Cozy and squishy and excellent!
I love this top and wear it all the time. The fabric is PowerStretch fleece, which is always comfy, but this is an especially nice, thick, cushy kind. Some Powerstretch (like the panels on the North Face Aurora top) is lighter weight, and not as warm. This is also stretchier than some other fleece I have, and that's good because the cut of this top is snug. I'm a size 4 and this top fits perfect in S. I wear this top skiing (downhill)under my jacket, but this would be a fine outer layer for a day of spring x-country. I also wear it lounging around. It always look nice, even though we have a yellow lab, and my top is black, the hair just doesn't stick b/c of the fabric's smooth surface. I thought this top was kind of expensive, but it has been worth every penny, and I'm sure I'll have it a long time.


The Only Base Layer You Will Need
Tired of putting on multiple base layers? This is the only base layer you will ever need. The Marmot Power Stretch top and bottom are plenty warm, but the fleece lining that sits against your skin is like your favorite pajamas. The top and bottom are perfect for traveling since they double as morning stretch gear (without looking like your in your long johns) and lounge wear. They also dry fast in case you have to wash them in the hotel sink. The zip on the top is perfect for venting, or if fully zipped the neck doubles as a neck gator. Since the fabric is so soft, it never feels like you are choking.


Great fit & attention to detail
Well tailored fit, with nice detailing, like little flap over zipper edge at neck - so no digging into skin. Another nice detail is they rolled the fabric edge at neck etc. so the nice soft inner layer is against the skin at top edge of the high neck. Great as base layer or alone. Much better quality than my Mtn. Hardware powerstretch tops which consistently unravel at seams after a few washings.


Warm
I bought this to wear as a 2nd layer beneath my Burton AK jacket on the recommendation of the salesperson that assisted me. I'm so glad he did, because I was able to stay dry and warm and would have been miserable without it.


warm and light
I wore the women's power stretch top on our first backpack trip of the year. It is lightweight and warm ,easily packable. It makes a great base or mid layer that holds your body heat in with it's snug fit. The stretch feature adds good mobility and comfort. The neck collar is very soft and well designed for comfort. The long sleeves partially cover the hands or gloves for added warmth. It provides a warm layer under a wind or rain jacket that isn't bulky. I highly recommend it!
