Kahtoola KTS Crampon
These crampons are great for mixed conditions when you may need extra traction. They adjusted easily to several different styles of boots/shoes. They held great on ice and snow. They are not appropriate for technical climbing and the lack of front points reminds of you that but for general hiking they work great.

These are great for hiking on snow and ice. Very compact and lightweight making them easy to carry in the pack. They’re very easy to put on and they adjust very quickly.


These Work
I used these to summit Mount Whitney in the snow and ice. I wore them over my Montrail Hardrocks and it worked well. Make sure to spend extra time making sure the straps are adjusted just right! These are not full blown crampons that clip into plastic boots, but they work pretty good with trail shoes. They got me to the top and back!
