The K2 Chogori Randonnee Ski is a tough-as-nails everyday touring ski. This ski has a slightly wider tip and tail than the Sahale, and it's a tad bit heavier as well. That's OK, though. When you're traveling through variable conditions and when moving at the speed of light is not a top priority, the Chogori is a solid, stable performer. The shapeliness (112/70/97mm) of this ski makes it easy to turn in raunchy conditions, and it's torsionally stiff enough to inspire confidence when you're clinging to the side of a thin, icy chute. Backcountry is the focus
This ski is designed more for touring use than in-bounds skiing. In the backcountry this ski is solid and light enough to go just about anywhere comfortably. They transition from crud to pow no problem. It has enough edge to easily carve the corn and give you confidence on the ice. However, going hyperspeed in-bounds, they will get a little squirrelly. They don't have the greatest response in the bumps, a bit sluggish. A groomer champ! If they produced a longer length in this model it could resolve those issues, at least for me.
