Flow AMP 9 Snowboard Binding

They're alright
I got my new amp 9 bindings, and i was super stoked about them, and they were great... for about the first 2 times I went up. After that I kept having problems with the screws that hold the back on, they kept coming loose and I lost a couple too, and had to use crappy replacement parts to fix it. But anyway if you want to buy this be ready for things to fall off, or fall apart, one word of advice dont put too much pressure on the back of the bindings, or make them too tight, or you can just buy the better flow bindings for a bit more.

flow amp 9
gotta luv these flows. I don't have to sit down and strap my boots anymore. I just lift the high back and lock and roll. Comfortable enough to ride all day and nite.

ease worth the flaws?
Let me start by saying that I love the ease of these bindings, getting off the lift and being able to click in is almost worth the problems I have encountered with the design. I have had to replace the pins in the locking device in both bindings, the e-clips break or fall out. Was told while having them repaired that these pins were recalled by Flow last season. Was also informed that the metal tabs that hold the lock in place should be checked often as they tend to stretch out of shape and need to be pulled back out with a screw driver. Maybe this years model has had some changes to these drawbacks, do some research first, I didn't and have had some problems.

Good Concept Poor Execution
All in all I am satisfied with the Amp 9's but I think Flow could have done a better job with the construction. I love the ability to be able to step into the binding, lift the highback, and be on my way. Sure beats having to sit down each time after coming off the lift. But I think the materials used to construct the Amp 9 are cheap. On my first attempt to unscrew one of the screws, I stripped it. I didn't even have a chance to try another screw driver. Also, after a couple of weeks of use, some of the paint has started to chip. Sometimes when stepping in, I really have to dig my boot into the strap to get it all the way in to lift the highback. I think the bindings will be good for another season or two, but I'm not expecting them to last me longer.

FLow AMp 9 bindings
I was using strap bindings and I would be tires half way through the day of riding. Now with these Flows, I don't have to sit down and strap up and then stand up. Just lift the highback lockin tab and I'm off. When I need to release my boot, I would just flip the tab down and slide my foot out. Great comofort and control.........
