Cloudveil Symmetry Pant - Men's



Great Pant
These pants are pretty awesome. They are quite heavy duty. The only drawback to them is that they are designed for mainly skiing. The boot cut legs are pre-shaped for ski (or large) boots. A high waist and fitted shape keep them in the realm of skiing. If you're looking for a pant for mainly snow/winter sports these pants are a perfect choice. For climbing or hiking in changing temperatures however, their functionality might not be the best.


Awesome...but...
Good - great, soft, awesome venting slots on outer legs at the thigh, smart belt with added belt loops if necessary. Bad - they're Nordic pants - not alpine ski pants - so why have gators to fit around a downhill ski-boot?? Gators are cool if they function - these are dumb. Why put micro fleece around the ankle of the pant? These pants are cut for going around a full ski boot. These pants will be great downhill pants for more than 20 deg but for cross-country they're not it.

These pants were an investment to say the least. They are superb in their comfort and breathability. I would recomend these pants to anyone who is thinking about buying a soft shell.


Not nordic pants
Although these are some seriously comfortable pants, they are not very good for alpine or Nordic skiing. The bottom of the pants are cut for alpine and the uppers for Nordic—which is it guys? The leg bottoms have alpine gators that do no good for Nordic boots...unless I guess you're using them for alpine touring. Then they'd be ok.
