Burton Malolo Snowboard



Didn't hold up
Well, I was really excited about this board, it's a blast to ride and and handles anything you can throw at it. It's a powder day killer for sure. Unfortunately I found out the hard way that it's not a very strong or durable board. I had a low-speed impact with a stick and it cracked the top-sheet in 3 places. I was very surprised based on the abuse my past Burton boards have been able to withstand. And to top it off Burton refused to warranty the damage.

This board is a BLAST. It is great on a powder day or aggressive free riding. It is such a fun board and will make your next powder day quite amazing. It is more all mountain versatile than the Burton Fish and since it has such a set back stance it rides longer than the length is. It is a great board to add to your quiver and you will find yourself on it more than just powder days.


This is the Powder Board!
Living in Utah, we get the deep fluffy stuff and if you are centered in your stance you will get stuck. But not this board, with its set back stance, and round tail, you will float through powder like you are flying! And to top it off, no rear leg burn from that set back either. This core is stiff where you need it on your effective edge, and soft where you don't. i have even taken mine off jumps and natural hits, and it is the ruler! No wonder Terje rides this board! Sick A++++!


Didn't hold up either
This board is a freaking blast to ride and is shaped very well. But the construction of it just doesn't hold up. It's not a board thats going to last you through multiple seasons. I bought this board and after about a day and a half of use it was already broken. I scraped over a rock in early season and it caused my top sheet to crack and pop up. Now this was a low speed brush over the rock. You could barely fit your fingernail into the scrape that was left on the bottom of my board. So i sent it in to burton and they "fixed" it. Once i got i back i took it on about 4 runs and the top sheet was coming up again. On top of it burton refused to warranty it. Bottom line is that there are definitely better buys for the amount of money you'll spend on this board. Unless of course you enjoy dealing with burtons warranty center and riding old boards for most of the season.


sweet board
just rode it in a variety of conditions in vail - from ice to powder - it performed like a charm. the back end really swings out easily (easy carve), so it required a slight adjustment to my normal riding style. ride hard through deep powder, solid landings off 6+ foot drops. good times.
