Burton Wheelie Locker Case



Burton 185 Wheelie Locker
This bag easily handled four decks, soft boots, hard boots, all mountain bindings, plate bindings, riding clothes for four days, street clothes for six days, a backcountry pack, a hydration pack... everything except my helmet. The wheels handled well, even on uneven hard-pack and rutted ice. The skid plate was nice for stairs. I ended up re-attaching the shoulder strap to the front end for long hauls because of the weight. The organization was pretty good, but I ditched the clip-in compartments because everything fit better loose. Rigidity wasn't an issue, but with less gear it might have been too limp to tow properly. It barely fit in the back of my rental car with the back seats down. My biggest problem was with the zippers... they aren’t YKKs and don't seem to handle smoothly, occasionally missing a tooth. All in all, though, I'm satisfied.

I'm not that impressed with the bag. My biggest problem is the area that you store the board in is not big enough to handle the bindings as well. What this means I unless I want to take the bindings off every time I have to store it in the main compartment with all my cloths. Not a big deal on the way there, but when the board is all wet it kinda sux to get all the clothes wet as well....

I bought this bag at the last minute before a trip to Colorado this past spring. I talked with the online help team and told them what I was looking for and what I needed. This one fit my exact needs. This bag has 2 internal gear bags that unclip so you can carry them with you; instead of lugging the whole thing with you. There is so much room in this bag, you may not even need a suitcase. This bag has some great specs: 3 zippered storaged pockets, a toiletry bag, a goggle bag, 2 gear bags that unclip to take with you, a seperate stoarage slot for your board/skis and the main compartment has ample space for anything you need to bring. If you're looking for a bag to hold ALL your gear, this is it! I recommend this bag to anyone that travels and likes to ski/board. Thanks, you guys rock
