The Black Diamond Mystic Telemark Ski is a great all-around ski for women who don't want to compromise performance, but want a ski made with them in mind. The Mystic delivers in a big way with Dual Torsion Bow fore body and tails to make it snappy, with a low swing weight for technical skiing. The wood/Densolite core gives enough durability to take the intentional and unintentional abuse you put it through, but remains wonderfully light so you don't feel like you're trudging uphill on bricks. Dura-Edge carbide steel edges hold a tune famously, and the Electra sintered graphite base is eye-wateringly fast if that's your thing. The Mystic's binding plate handles tele or AT bindings equally well. No matter what she's presented with, the Mystic will float and turn with a grace worthy of you.

not so great
I agree with the last review. These are definitely lightweight, but they are way too stiff. They do okay tracking through powder. On groomers there is chatter. I wish I bought the Havocs. Demoed them after I bought these and they are awesome.


Mystic Mystery
These skis are super light and have a great graphic, but I have not been pleased with their performance. They're difficult to maneuver in powder and they chatter on groomers and hard pack. Alpine or Tele, I have not heard good reviews of these skis. I have two other friends that have tried these for Tele skiing and they had the same complaints. Forget about speed and control on these skis because you can't have either with the Mystic.


Into the Mystic
I picked these up for my girl last Christmas for those days where it just hasn't snowed for a few days. She has been loving how light they are and the way they handle the hardpack. The dimensions are perfect for carving turns and getting better at telemarking in the bumps. She has been telling all her friends to pick up a pair as soon as they can. Pick up a pair of these skis and "let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic."
